Baylor Scott & White Health, Center for Healthcare Policy

Baylor Scott & White Health (BSWH) is the largest non-profit healthcare system in Texas. The system currently has 50 hospitals, more than 1,000 patient care sites, over 7,800 affiliated physicians and more than 48,000 employees. BSWH is known for exceptional patient care where people can fulfill their calling and be an integral part in changing healthcare to meet the needs of the future. BSWH believes that healthcare providers must participate in forming healthcare policy by interacting with national, state and local policy makers to help them better understand the complexities and ramifications of key healthcare policies to assure the delivery of cost efficient quality healthcare to the communities we serve. The Center for Healthcare Policy is a part of BSWH and is led by Kristi Sherrill Hoyl, Chief Policy and Community Officer based in Dallas, TX.

BSWH values research and innovative models of care that will lead to more efficient care and better health outcomes for older adults. Family caregivers of older adults with chronic illnesses like Alzheimer’s disease often are the most critical member of the patient’s overall care team.  BSWH researchers are dedicated to studying the health and well-being of older adults and their family caregivers. For more information, visit www.bswhealth.com.
