The Memory Impairment and Neurodegenerative Dementia (MIND) Center at the University of Mississippi Medical Center is a national leader in Alzheimer’s research and clinical care backed by the state’s only academic medical center. Launched in 2010 and led by Dr. Thomas Mosley, The MIND Center uses pioneering research, state-of-the-art brain imaging, and powerful genetic technologies to elucidate the causes of Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias and find new treatments and methods of prevention for these devastating diseases.

The MIND Center Clinic offers outpatient diagnosis and treatment for memory loss and cognitive decline caused by Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias. Its clinical team includes board certified geriatricians and neurologists, as well as nurse practitioners, nurse care coordinators, and social workers, all of whom are expert in caring for patients and families battling Alzheimer’s and dementia. The MIND Center’s telemedicine program, “TeleMIND,” offers dementia-care services to Mississippians in remote areas of the state through secure audio-visual technology.
