Alzheimer’s Greater Los Angeles

Alzheimer’s Greater Los Angeles (formerly known as the Alzheimer’s Association, California Southland Chapter) was founded by concerned family caregivers in 1980 with the mission to eliminate Alzheimer’s disease through the advancement of research; to provide and enhance care and support for people with dementia, their families and caregivers; and, to reduce the risk of dementia through the promotion of brain health. With a new name that emphasizes our commitment to serve the local community, Alzheimer’s Greater Los Angeles will continue its 35-year history of creating and delivering innovative programs focused on patient care, family and caregiver and advocacy for improved services and research funding. Services include a 24/7 Helpline (844.HELP.ALZ), patient and caregiver support services, community and professional education and advocating for public policy reforms.
