MedicAlert Foundation, the original medical ID organization, is a not-for-profit 501 (c) (3) corporation that saves and protects lives during our members’ moments of need. MedicAlert provides products and services to people with pre-existing conditions, their families and caregivers. In addition to offering medical IDs, our services include a 24/7 Emergency Response Center, Wandering Support Program, Sponsorship Services, and Education and Training. Most importantly, to people and families living with Alzheimer’s disease and other dementia, our nationwide emergency response services facilitate the safe return of individuals who wander or have a medical emergency. Individuals enroll directly with MedicAlert or through a wide range of community alliances and partners who seek to protect populations of diverse backgrounds and conditions, so that they have better outcomes when faced with an emergency. For more than 60 years, MedicAlert has saved over 4 million lives and counting. We have trained thousands of first responders, healthcare professionals and law enforcement, so that during emergencies they search for medical IDs with vital information and contact our team for additional health and emergency contact information. Our organization actively seeks to protect all with pre-existing conditions, their families and caregivers.
